Vehicle Technician

Our client, based in Croydon are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician (working in a their small workshop). They specialise in vehicle maintenance and repairs/fleet management, as a trusted partner to some of the UK’s most recognised names, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional service, fostering lasting relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. As a Vehicle Technician, you will report to the Workshop Manager and will look after client's light commercial vehicles (also cars).\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Inspecting vehicles and diagnosing any required work.\n\n * Discussing required repairs with admin team and customers.\n\n * Calculating the expected time for repairs.\n\n * Repairing or replacing components as required.\n\n * Road testing vehicles to test repair work or diagnose.\n\n * Fitting and servicing vehicle accessories, including parking sensors, cameras, towbars and reverse cameras.\n\n * Performing service and vehicle system safety checks.\n\n * Performing vehicle maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and air filters, brakes, clutch, gearbox, suspension and diagnostics as required.\n\n * Cleaning and maintaining the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.\n\n * To carry out quality checks on all technician's work and discuss findings.\n\n * When requested visit off site locations and carry out safety guidelines are adhered to both personal and team health and well-being is kept in mind\n\n * MOT testing experience an advantage.\n\n * Need to be Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician\n\nBasic salary is up to £41k, (plus after probationary period you become eligigle for their quarterly bonuses - £500 - £1,000) and the technician must have a Level 3 qualification.\nIf you have MOT tester also, that would be advantageous.\nThe hours are Monday to Friday 8am-5:30pm.
