Job Description – Site Manager – Office Fit-Out\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a small office fit-out project in Birmingham, working on behalf of a specialist interior fit-out contractor.\n\nThe contractor’s works cover solid and glazed partitions, ceilings, timber and glazed doors, prefabricated partitions, teapoints and decoration, with projects delivered across the office, retail, hospitality, education, leisure, healthcare and life sciences sectors.\n\nThis role will suit a Site Manager with a strong background in commercial interiors / office fit-out, ideally with experience managing partitioning, ceiling, door and finishing packages.\n\nRole Duties\n\nThe Site Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day site activity, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.\n\nDuties will include:\n\nManaging a small office fit-out project from site set-up through to completion\nCoordinating trades and subcontractors across partitions, ceilings, doors, teapoints and decoration\nOverseeing installation of solid partitions, glazed partitions, timber/glazed door sets and associated internal fit-out works\nMonitoring programme progress and ensuring works are completed in line with project deadlines\nManaging health and safety on site, including inductions, RAMS, permits and daily site checks\nLiaising with the Project Manager, client representatives and subcontractors\nEnsuring quality control across all finishes, interfaces and handover areas\nManaging deliveries, materials, site logistics and access arrangements\nKeeping site records, progress updates and any required documentation\nEnsuring the site is clean, organised and compliant throughout the project\n\nRequirements\n\nValid SMSTS\nValid First Aid\nPrevious experience as a Site Manager on office fit-out / commercial interiors projects\nStrong understanding of internal fit-out packages, especially partitions, ceilings, doors and decoration\nAbility to manage subcontractors and maintain programme\nGood communication skills and confidence liaising with Project Managers and clients\nAvailable for interview\nAvailable to attend site during week commencing 1st June to meet the Project Manager\n\nProject Details\n\nLocation: Birmingham\nDuration: 6 weeks\nHours: Standard 8-hour shifts\nOvertime: Anything over 8 hours payable\nStart: Following interview and site meeting with the Project Manager\n\nSummary\n\nThis is a 6-week Site Manager position on a small commercial office fit-out project, managing internal works including partitions, ceilings, doors, teapoint installation and decoration. The ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering similar office fit-out or commercial interiors projects and must hold SMSTS and First Aid
