Salary: Up to £40,081.10 per annum (dependent upon experience)

\n\nYour Role\n

As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will:

  • Support foster parents in achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
  • \n
  • Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • \n
  • Provide regular supervision to foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with the child's network to identify needs and provide necessary support.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.
  • \n
  • Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams regarding care packages.
  • \n
  • Encourage participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
  • \n
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support service on a rota basis.
  • \n
  • Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
  • \n
\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n

You’ll need to bring:

\n
    \n
  • A Social Work qualification.
  • \n
  • Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
  • \n
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • \n
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • \n
  • The willingness to travel extensively (including occasional nights away).
  • \n
  • Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations.
  • \n
  • A full driving licence.
  • \n
