With a strong focus on direct delivery and long-term client relationships, the organisation is recognised for its investment in people, training, and internal progression.\n\nThis is a great opportunity to join a commercially strong environment with a secure pipeline of work across major infrastructure programmes.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role within project teams, supporting the commercial management of civil engineering projects ranging from £200k to £10m+ in value.\n\nYou will be responsible for ensuring strong commercial control across projects, including cost reporting, forecasting, subcontract management, and contract administration. Working closely with delivery teams, clients, and the supply chain, you will help drive efficiency, manage risk, and maximise commercial performance.\n\nThis role requires a proactive approach, strong contractual knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCommercial Management\n• Production of accurate cost and value reporting (CVRs)\n• Cash flow forecasting and cost control\n• Monthly forecasting and commercial planning\n• Applications for payment through to final account\n• Identification and management of commercial risk and opportunity\n• Supporting project profitability and cost efficiency\n\nContracts & Procurement\n• Administration of NEC and IChemE contracts\n• Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and management\n• Managing subcontract accounts and payment processes\n• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and governance requirements\n• Managing change, variations, and claims\n• Maintaining strong supply chain relationships\n\nStakeholder Management\n• Liaising with clients and project stakeholders on commercial matters\n• Supporting operational teams with forecasting and cost advice\n• Attending project and commercial meetings as required\n• Providing commercial guidance to site teams\n\nProcesses & Controls\n• Ensuring compliance with internal commercial processes and reporting deadlines\n• Supporting continuous improvement of commercial systems and procedures\n• Maintaining accurate records and financial documentation\n\nKey Requirements\n\nEssential\n• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor role within construction or civil engineering\n• Strong knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts\n• Experience in subcontract procurement and commercial management\n• Strong experience in monthly forecasting, CVRs, and cost analysis\n• Excellent communication, numerical, and IT skills (MS Office proficiency)\n• Strong organisational and time management skills\n• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines\n\nDesirable\n• Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent\n• Membership of RICS or working towards\n• CSCS Card\n• Experience working within a direct delivery contractor environment\n\nHow to Apply\n\nIf you are ready to take on an exciting challenge as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, please send your CV to (url removed) or contact Jordan Lee at (phone number removed) for further details.\n\nGanymede Solutions is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
