Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel

SSQ is working with a high-growth SaaS business in London, backed by strong investment and with ambitious international expansion plans, looking to hire a commercial Legal Counsel.

This is a broad in-house role offering real variety and visibility, working closely with the GC and senior stakeholders across the business.

The role:

• Acting as a key legal contact for the business on day-to-day queries
• Leading on commercial contract negotiations (Software, cloud, vendor and partnership agreements)
• Advising across sales, product, tech and regulatory matters
• Supporting on IP, data and compliance-related issues
• Managing external counsel and supporting on project work
• Helping to improve legal processes, templates and playbooks
• Contributing to regulatory, audit and investor-related workstreams

What they’re looking for:

• Common law qualified solicitor
• Strong commercial contracts experience, ideally within Tech / SaaS / FinTech / Payments
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling business
• Pragmatic, hands-on and able to work closely with non-legal stakeholders
