Assistant Quantity Surveyor\n\nWe are looking for a Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a leading specialist in structural alterations, providing innovative solutions for commercial and residential projects. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, safe, and cost-effective structural modifications, including groundwords, load-bearing wall alterations, and building reinforcements.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing costs, contracts, and financial planning for structural alteration projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tenders for structural alteration projects.\n\n * Measure and quantify materials and labour requirements, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.\n\n * Manage contract administration, including preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.\n\n * Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, identifying and mitigating cost overruns.\n\n * Conduct value engineering exercises to optimise project expenditure without compromising quality or safety.\n\n * Prepare interim valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.\n\n * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure financial and contractual compliance.\n\n * Provide advice on procurement strategies, risk management, and cost-saving opportunities.\n\n * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations throughout all projects.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.\n\n * Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in structural alterations, building modifications, or civil engineering projects.\n\n * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and structural systems.\n\n * Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel).\n\n * Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.\n\n * Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\n * Professional membership (RICS or equivalent) preferred.\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\n * Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.\n\n * Opportunities for professional development and career progression.\n\n * Dynamic and collaborative work environment
