Fake Festivals have developed an innovative franchise opportunity for fun and hard-working individuals to start up and run their own festival business!! Organise and run music festivals all over the UK featuring music by some of the world’s best known bands – all performed by top tribute performers!
Fake Festivals have enjoyed huge success so far, with the majority of the festivals being sold out on the 2009 tour, despite the traditional British summer weather. Forget having to camp out for days on end with no sleep, terrible toilets, and all that mud. Instead, Fake Festivals provide a family friendly festival experience with a difference! The festivals feature top quality tributes bands for well-known bands such as Oasis, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, U2 and Coldplay.
Each Festival is a wonderful opportunity for local communities to come together and quickly becomes an event for all to look forward to and enjoy each year. Fake Festivals is the brainchild of Jez Lee. He came up with the idea after a meeting with Sir Bob Geldof in Malta, where Jez provided three tribute bands to perform on the same line up as Sir Bob in front of 6,000 ecstatic Maltese fans. “I was in the crowd watching my U2 tribute band perform on this big stage with all the lights and atmosphere going on and it could have been the real thing, the fans certainly thought so,” explains Jez. “So after that I decided to re-create the same back in the UK.”
“We are the first touring music festival of its kind and the response to these local festivals has been amazing,” continues Jez. “People expect to be entertained but assume they have to travel long distances into cities to find that entertainment. Not now, as we bring the entertainment to the people!”

As a Fake Festival franchisee, you will be responsible for the organisation and execution of these fun festivals. The festivals are all held on a community playing field or village green and are inside a 6,400 sq foot marquee, so the weather isn’t an issue, and this becomes the venue.
Inside the marquee is a main stage which has a comprehensive PA and lighting system. There is also a licensed bar which is 40 foot long, so queuing is not an issue as it is operated with a token system which customers can purchase on entry or throughout the day.
To keep the outdoor festival feel, there is also a secured fenced food and beer garden area which is accessible through the marquee, and festival-goers will find high quality food stands from burgers to Hog Roasts and noodles. There are also tables, chairs and toilets outside.
The tribute bands that perform at a Fake Festival are specifically chosen to cover a wide range of age groups enabling everyone to enjoy some of the music or better still all of it!
Fake Festivals also provide a unique opportunity for upcoming local bands to perform in front of their local community, before the professional tribute bands take to the stage.
Toilets and security ensure comfort and ease of mind for each event, making sure that the day is enjoyed by both the young and more senior members of the locality.
