JOB TITLE: Installation Engineer / Installation Manager

THE COMPANY: Our client is part of an international manufacturing organisation that supplies highly engineered decontamination equipment and services to the healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory and research sectors. Our client work to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
Due to our client being a leader in their field and due to continued growth are now looking to for an experienced Installation Engineer where you will report to and work from our clients premises in Leeds, West Yorkshire but will travel throughout UK occasionally requiring you to stay away from home. In return our client offers full stay away expenses covered, a generous salary plus company vehicle and ongoing product and self-improvement training programmes.
For the right candidate who has experience as a skilled Installation Engineer but also has suitable experience in Risk Assessments, Site Visits and working in an ISO environment may be considered for an Installation Managers positions. THE ROLE: As an Installation Engineer you will be responsible for working on a range of equipment including Steam Sterilizers, Instrument Washer Disinfectors, Endoscope Washer Disinfectors, and Steam Generation plant. Our client require a professional, confident person with a positive attitude who is willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and standards.
Key Responsibilities for the Installation Engineer / Installation Manager's role in Leeds, West Yorkshire and surrounding areas:
Be resourceful, show initiative, and can deal with multiple tasks and work under pressure
Be tasked with performing the installation of products located at customers' premises
Be home based and you will travel throughout the UK; this post involves spending time away from home regularly
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Installation Managers position must be have a minimum of an ONC or City and Guilds qualification in relevant Engineering subjects or must be qualified be experience and have significant experience with automated systems, steam, compressor, pumps or other relevant industries. You must have completed a time served apprenticeship or have relevant working experience in a similar role and ideally have experience of working within an ISO registered environment. It is essential you have valid UK driving licence, good IT skills, excellent communication skills and have the Self-motivation and the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team. Although not essential candidates with electrical experience would be highly desirable as would candidates with experience carrying out risk assessments, site visits or any managerial experience in a similar role and will be considered for a managerial post.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Installation Engineer / Installation Managers role in Leeds, West Yorkshire and surrounding areas :-
Minimum of an ONC or City and Guilds qualification in relevant Engineering subjects highly desirable
Must have completed a time served apprenticeship or have relevant working experience and be QBE (qualified by experience) in a similar role
Significant experience with automated systems, steam, compressor, pumps or other relevant industries
Ideally will have experience of working within an ISO registered environment
Valid UK Driving Licence is essential
Must have Good IT Skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office packages
Will be required to travel and work throughout the UK and stay occasionally away from home
Previous Electrical engineering or maintenance experience would be an advantage
