Anti-Piracy Specialist: Music Sector Advertising and MarketplaceWould you like to work within the Music industry, perhaps utilising your own interest and/or experience of Internet based Sales, Marketing or Data Analysis? Do you have an interest in Anti-Piracy, or do you think this could be of interest to you? Our client operates worldwide and is at the forefront of music industry anti-piracy operations globally. Initially, this is a 12 month fixed term role to support infringing website advertising and online marketplace monitoring, takedown and reporting programmes. You may be engaged on the clients' own payroll or via your own limited company/umbrella firm (assuming you already work on a contract basis and would prefer to continue in this way).KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDCurrent/previous employment within an Internet based role of some sort, ideally involving work in areas such as online Advertising, online Selling, online Marketing, SEO, or similar : or a genuine demonstrable interest in work relating to use of the Internet (perhaps through your education and qualifications) is essential. Perhaps you already work with Music content/products in some way? This will include experience of analysing music related data collected from the Internet and presenting your findings in a way that colleagues would find interesting and be able to act upon. Ideally, you will also have an interest in the Music Industry, perhaps through your own education or interests as a musician, or simply as someone very well-versed in consuming Internet-based music, using platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, Tidal, Amazon, eBay, etc.Other experience our client is seeking includes:. Experience in an administrative role which had strong focus around email and telephone communication with 3rd parties. An understanding of web based advertising methodologies would be advantageous. An understanding of online marketplace environments including reporting infringements using Amazon's reporting tool and eBay's VeRO tool would be advantageous. Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially MS-Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of Anti-Piracy, in any music or creative industries would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent organisational and administrative skillsThis is a comprehensive role including the following duties and responsibilities:-Re: Marketplace selling. Oversee monitoring and takedown programme on online marketplace stores including Amazon and eBay to facilitate the removal of infringing music and member company copyrighted items. Analyse takedown information to ensure effective takedown processes are being maintained by online marketplace entities. Analyse takedown information to establish intelligence on egregious sellers of member company copyrighted items with a view to further escalation and maintain said information in central i2 intelligence database. Support national groups' local online marketplace takedown programmes and provide relevant assistance to ensure infringing auctions are removed quickly and efficiently. Provide central liaison point function for national groups to raise and escalate issues with relevant online marketplace personnel and support functions. Liaise with national groups on online marketplace takedown activities and implement a structured reporting process. Provide regular reports to management, member companies and national groups on online marketplace takedown activitiesRe: Online Advertising. Oversee monitoring and takedown programme to facilitate the removal of advertising and related revenue streams from infringing music focused websites. Utilise in-house monitoring and takedown solutions to facilitate the removal of advertising from infringing music focused websites by contacting relevant advertisers and/or advertising networks. Support local national groups advertising enforcement programmes (either using in-house tools or via direct monitoring) to help facilitate the removal of advertising/advertising revenue from local infringing music focused websites and/or local services. Identify/document egregious advertising networks with a view to escalating their details for action with the internal legal team and/or law enforcement. Provide a structured reporting process to management, member companies and national groups on takedown activities, advertising network targets and programme activityKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Excellent organisational and administrative skillsThe role will include:Close liaison with national groups will be fundamental to the success of both projects and strong communication skills will be required to facilitate the exchange of ideas, feedback of data (especially with regards to information which may be of interest to other national groups) but most importantly to ensure that all groups are executing on the programme goals as designated by the member companies.Whilst notice and takedown is at the core of both of these programmes, there is scope for escalated actions regarding egregious sellers or advertising networks which are identified as a result of takedown activities or direct investigation. Said escalation will involve the job holder producing reports which will be reviewed by senior management and/or the internal legal team. This review could lead to the report before being included as part of a direct legal complaint or being included in documentation to support a complaint to law enforcement.
