Purchase Ledger Clerk

Our client is part of a larger group and are in a period of growth which will continue into 2008. They are currently needing a new member of staff to assist the Financial Controller in resolving problems currently being experienced on the purchase ledger.
They currently use Sage Line 50 and have a backlog of invoicing and reconciliations which need to be completed ASAP. The temporary worker will have responsibility for clearing this backlog, as well as auditing the invoicing which has been done so far this year.
The role will be challenging and it will involve a lot of communication with internal people, both on and off site, as well as suppliers. Therefore it requires applicants with significant purchase ledger experience and ideally experience of using Sage, as training will not be given. Attention to detail is essential as well as the ability to persevere with a project, as you will be working alone most of the time.
There is free car parking at the site and they can offer flexible start times, however 37.5 hours per week are essential. The project should last at least 3 months probably longer and so this could provide an ideal 'stop gap' during your search for permanent work. An immediate start is necessary.
