JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to both the Practice Manager & Departmental Partner your main focus will be to provide secretarial and administrative support to the department.
Your key tasks will be to undertake audio typing by word processor system using Microsoft Word and digital dictation. To undertake typing and preparation accurately and quickly of legal documents and correspondence in relation to all areas of legal work carried out by the firm, but principally in the employment, commercial, litigation and charity departments.
To undertake office duties. To undertake file management procedures. To undertake usual filing duties and post procedures.
To arrange meetings and book interview rooms for fee earners.
To assist in the arrangement of in house and external events.
To provide occasional reception relief on a rota basis.
To undertake other duties commensurate with the job description.

You should possess RSA 11 typing skills or equivalent. Audio typing skills
Competent word processing skills including accuracy and speed using MS word.
Knowledge of other MS applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Access (desirable)
Ability to undertake file management and office procedures. Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work as part of a team. Commitment to working in a friendly and efficient way with

The hours are 9.00am – 5.00pm Mon- Friday
